Morgan is certainly a very atypical brand in the automotive landscape. It doesn’t have a direct presence in Italy, as its models, currently three, are imported by Romeo Ferraris. A niche brand, it’s known among car enthusiasts and beyond because it has managed to maintain a design clearly inspired by its origins, the same origins of the Morgan Motor Company, founded in 1909 by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan. The Plus Four was its inspiration, and since 1936, it has captivated the automotive world, having managed to remain true to itself more in form than in mechanics. Today, as then, however, that 4/4 always and only means one thing: 4 wheels, 4 cylinders: Plus Four. The Four is so called because Morgan began producing three-wheeled cars, and continued to do so for 26 years before switching to four wheels.
