The Ferrari 488 Spider is the new chapter in the long history of open-top V8 sports cars from the Maranello company.
This supercar contains two vehicles, a fascinating spider with sinuous shapes and, by closing the retractable metal roof, a “badass” coupé.
The performance is F1-like, it mounts a 721 horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine: The electronics manage the driving dynamics, but without taking away a shred of pleasure from the “driver”: Changing the position of the manettino varies the response of the seven-speed dual-clutch robotized gearbox, the self-locking differential, the traction system and the other controls. The carbon-ceramic brakes are very powerful.
