The Alfa Spider’s success story began in 1966, when Alfa Romeo was among the first car manufacturers to realize the ambitious goal of mass-producing an elegant sports coupé capable of satisfying the most exclusive needs. All this at a reasonable price!
The base model, the Spider Duetto, was produced, with minimal variations, until 1994, maintaining the body design virtually unchanged. These variations can be divided into four series:
1st series – “Osso di seppia” (1966–1969); – 2nd series – “Coda tronca” (1969–1982); – 3rd series – “Aerodinamica” (1983–1989); – 4th series – “Ultima” (1989–1994);
